Rather than just judge Windows 7 straight out of the box, I opted to actually use the operating system before deciding what I thought of it. Over the course of a month from the launch date onwards, Microsoft’s replacement for Vista was given a thorough examination.

The final of the iQ Prize was held in the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin on Wednesday night. The competition, run by iQ Content, recognised good Irish internet business ideas. A top prize of €10,000 was on offer, as well as an audience prize of €1,000.

Students from across Ireland gathered at the Science Gallery in Trinity on Thursday to battle it out to become Irish champions of the Imagine Cup. After the morning session the final three were selected and our cameras were on hand to capture all the action.
