Sony gave a sneak peak of Heavy Rain, a narrative driven game due out next year. We were able to try out a couple of scenes in the game before sitting down with the game’s executive producer Guillaume de Fondaumiere.

The final of the iQ Prize was held in the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin on Wednesday night. The competition, run by iQ Content, recognised good Irish internet business ideas. A top prize of €10,000 was on offer, as well as an audience prize of €1,000.

Citrix held their annual iForum event in Edinburgh this week. The infrastructure software firm told Villa81 that it believes smartphones will take dominant positions in the mobile phone and laptop markets within the year.
The iForum is moving from Edinburgh next year to a new venue in Berlin.

Dr Cormac Ó Raifeartaigh gave a talk on the Big Bang at the Science Gallery in Dublin on Wednesday. The event was organised by the Alchemist Café, a group which organises monthly public talks on science and technology.
